Horse riding: Life in regions like Khevsureti, Tusheti, Khevi and Racha had always been inconceivable without a horse. As it had always been in the past, the local Caucasian horse breeds are well accustomed to mountainous routes, making riders feel confident. Guided tours are starting in ski-resort Gudauri and includes the tour along the volcanic plateau, hiking and overnight in tents. Morning begins with a horse-ride, then back to Gudauri and departure for Tbilisi.

Horse riding tour from Tusheti to Khevsureti in Georgian Caucasus

Day 1 - Drive to Kakheti region, on the way visit Sighnaghi Old-City, Bodbe monastery, fortified medieval citadel of Gremi, Gurjaani Kvelatsminda church, stay overnight at the guesthouse Vazisubani near Telavi.
Day 2 - Visit architectural complex of Alaverdi, ancient academy of Ikalto and Shuamta monasteries. Drive to Tusheti province with off-road vehicle, sightseeing in Omalo, administrative centre of the region, and cultural excursion to open-air ethnography museum, stay overnight at the Hotel Kamsuri in Omalo.
Day 3 - Visiting the museum villages: Shenakho, Diklo, Kvalvo and Dartlo, stay overnight in tents near Chesho village.
Day 4 - Horse riding to Atsuna Pass along the Pirikiti Alazani River. Stay overnight in tents near Kvakhidi. (Riding approx. 20 km)
Day 5 - Cross the Adsunta pass on 3600 m height and enter the Khevsureti province, overnight in tents behind the pass. (Riding approx. 16 km)
Day 6 - Riding to Ardoti, sightseeing of Ardoti fortress and overnight in tents near the village. (Riding approx. 16 km)
Day 7 - Journey in Khevsureti province with off-road vehicle: visit Khakhmati and Mutso fortresses, Shatili village and fortifications, Gudani Cross, Anatoria sanctuaries and via Datvis-jvris Pass (2676 m) return to Tbilisi.

Tour includes:
    - Transfers by off-road vehicle;
